About the Opportunity

Smart Cookies is looking for a full-time Room Leader / Lead Educator based in Liverpool, NSW. 

You will lead a nurturing team focused on high-quality education, documentation, and critical reflection to support children’s development.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead, inspire and mentor your early childhood educators to deliver engaging, play-based learning programs

• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports every child’s development

• Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues

• Oversee program planning, observations, documentation, and assessment in line with the EYLF and NQS

• Maintain the highest standards of child safety, wellbeing, and compliance

• Contribute to our Quality Improvement Plan and uphold our service philosophy

• Act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor

About You

To qualify, you will need a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and prior experience as a Room Leader. A minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role within early childhood education is essential.

You’ll also hold:

• Current Working With Children Check
• First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
• Accredited Child Protection Training

The following will also be highly valued:

• Experience managing small teams in tight-knit environments and proven leadership and mentoring skills
• Maintains composure and professionalism in a busy early learning environment
• Strong knowledge of the NQS and EYLF frameworks
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

You’re a confident and experienced leader who takes pride in creating high-quality learning environments and building strong, supportive teams.
